The 2019 Staysure Tour season returns to France for the fourth edition of the Druh Belts presents Paris Legends Championship by Renault Z.E. with Gary Orr looking to replicate his 2018 triumph at Racing Club de France La Boulie.
With all to play for with just five events remaining on the Staysure Tour International Schedule, we take a look at three players to keep an eye on in the French capital this week.

The man to catch. The current Staysure Tour Number One is enjoying an exceptional run of form, with eight top ten finishes from 11 starts so far this year. His season highlight to date came at the Staysure PGA Seniors Championship in August, where he carded a closing round of 67, five under par, to claim a two-shot victory over former U.S. Open Champion Michael Campbell.
The Welshman has consistently performed well this year and with two top ten victories to his name since his triumph at London Golf Club, few would put it past him to clinch another win this week in Paris.
Gary Orr
The defending champion. Gary Orr arrived in France twelve months ago having just secured his first win in 18 years at the Scottish Senior Open. He carried that form through to the Paris showcase, following up his opening rounds of 71-65 with a final round of 68, four under par, to take a one-shot victory ahead of Markus Brier and home favourite Jean-François Remesy.
With a runner-up finish and three additional top ten placings in 2018, the two-time European Tour winner staked his claim as one of the consistent and impressive performers on the over-50s circuit.
Orr has yet to recreate that form in 2019, but on his return to the scene of his first victory on French soil do not bet against the Scotsman being in the mix again this week.
Jean-François Remesy
Remesy is bidding to become the third consecutive player to win on home soil following Paul Lawrie’s maiden Staysure Tour win in Scotland and David Shacklady’s triumph at the Sinclair Invitational in England at the beginning of the month.
Only a birdie-birdie finish from Orr prevented Remesy from earning a play-off spot at Racing Club de France La Boulie one year ago, although the Frenchman has since returned to the winner’s circle at the 2019 Farmfoods European Legends Links Championship.
Back on home soil, and with two additional top three finishes this season at the Swiss Senior Open and Senior Italian Open, expect the Frenchman to put in another strong performance on familiar territory.
