Three to Watch: Kaskáda Golf Challenge

The Road to Mallorca arrives in the Czech Republic for the first of two visits to the country this season. Here are three players to keep an eye on…

Form horse: Félix Mory

Felix Mory (2)

After a slow start to the season, Félix Mory is finding his best form at just the right time. He kick-started his campaign by finishing tied seventh in the Abu Dhabi Challenge in April, and has since added two more top tens, finishing no lower than 16th in his last five outings. The Frenchman currently sits 27th in the Road to Mallorca Rankings and arrives in Kaskáda having performed well here before. Mory finished tied ninth on this course 12 months ago, and will be hoping this could be the week he returns to the winner’s circle for the first time since 2021.

Local boy: Louis Klein

Louis Klein (3)

This time last year, Louis Klein was making history. The now 14-year-old Czech prospect, playing as an amateur, carded two level par rounds of 71 to make the cut, becoming the youngest player to achieve that feat on the Challenge Tour. At the time, he was 13 years, nine months and 24 days old. Klein would go on to finish in a share of 54th to cap a memorable week with his family by his side. He returns this year hoping to impress once again on home soil.

The outsider: Mats Ege

Mats Ege

Mats Ege makes his first Challenge Tour start this week after putting together an impressive résumé on the PGA Tour University. In his final 12 months at East Tennessee State University, the Norwegian won five times to finish 11th in the Order of Merit before making the decision to turn professional. He tees it up in the Czech Republic fresh from making his DP World Tour debut last week, where he carded rounds of 70-69-74-72 to finish in tied 51st in the Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed cut.
