Ahead of the Volvo China Open, we make a case for three players who could challenge for the title at Genzon Golf Club for your fantasy teams this week, which includes a former winner.
Favourite: Li Haotong
Li Haotong will fancy his chances when the European Tour makes its way to his homeland and the 23-year-old is in fine 2019 form to claim his first title of the season.
He finished inside the top 20 in each of the four events - including a sole second at the Saudi International powered by SBIA - before the Masters Tournament, where he finished a credible tied 43rd in his second appearance at Augusta National.
Li knows how to get across the winning line in this event too, claiming his maiden European Tour title at the Topwin Golf and Country Club in 2016 before adding his second trophy at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic last year.
The home favourite is the highest ranked player in the field this week at 39th in the Official World Golf Rankings and the fans could have a lot to cheer for at Genzon Golf Club if he can continue his hot vein of form.
Form horse: Jorge Campillo
The Spaniard finally broke his winning duck at the 229th time of asking on the European Tour with a two stroke victory at the Trophée Hassan II last week.
The 32-year-old has had plenty of near misses during his European Tour career with a total of six second placed finishes and four thirds, but held his nerve to make his way to the winner's circle for the first time in Morocco.
His triumph propelled him to sixth in the 2019 Race to Dubai Rankings presented by Rolex after ultra-consistent recent form. After a shaky start to the campaign, Campillo finished in tied second behind Kurt Kitayama at the Oman Open in March, only to end in a nine-way tie behind Justin Harding at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters a week later for a successive second-placed finish.
A top-20 finish followed at the Maybank Championship before coming third at the Hero Indian Open to cap off a superb March and eclisped those displays with victory in his only start in April. He also finished tied for third in this event last season.
Wildcard: Adri Arnaus
Campillo's compatriot has come into the European Tour like a duck to water in his maiden campaign.
He has produced a mixed bag of results but is more than capable of making a tilt for his first European Tour title. Arnaus earned his playing card at the end of 2018 following his victory at the Ras Al Khaimah Challenge Tour Grand Final, which was his first on the Challenge Tour to finish second overall in the rankings.
And he has proved he can perform alongside some of the world's best with a tie for ninth at the Alfred Dunhill Championship in December before ending one shot behind Guido Migliozzi at the Magical Kenya Open presented by Absa in March.
His driving has been consistent since the step up to the European Tour and that is highlighted with Arnaus sitting ninth in the 'strokes gained off the tee' at +1.157 per round, which is more impressive considering he has played nine rounds or more than the eight players ahead of him in the standings.
