Three places in The 153rd Open at Royal Portrush will be available through the ISPS HANDA Australian at Kingston Heath and Victoria in Melbourne from 28 November-1 December.
The leading three players not already exempt who make the cut will earn places in the final Major Championship of 2025.
In the event of a tie for a qualifying place, the player with the higher ranking in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) at the beginning of the week commencing November 25th will be awarded a place.
Players in the ISPS HANDA Australian Open field who are already exempt:
Joaquin Niemann
Cameron Smith
Jordan Smith
In a change to previous qualifying criteria, the place of a successful qualifier who later becomes exempt via another category will not pass to the next non-exempt golfer from that Open Qualifying Series event.
The R&A will publish the full schedule for the Open Qualifying Series and list of exemptions for The 153rd Open early in 2025.
