Liverpool rock band The Wombats will add further star power to the BMW PGA Championship when they take to the Showstage at Wentworth Club, and tickets for what promises to be a spectacular week of golf and entertainment are on sale now.

A key date in the British sporting calendar, the BMW PGA Championship is the fourth Rolex Series event of the season, and will bring together world-class competitive golf, globally-renowned music acts, the Celebrity Pro-Am and a packed Spectator Village from September 12-17.

The Wombats, who will bring the festivities to a close on Sunday September 17, burst onto the scene in 2007 with the hit songs Moving to New York and Let’s Dance to Joy Division. The trio have sold over one million albums worldwide and their latest release Fix Yourself Not The World reached Number One on the UK’s Official Albums Chart in 2022.

They join GRAMMY®-nominated producer and DJ Jax Jones, set to perform on Saturday September 16, as Showstage headliners. The two acts will follow in the footsteps of the likes of Feeder, Clean Bandit, Mike and the Mechanics, Kaiser Chiefs and many more world-class headliners at Wentworth.

BMW PGA Championship tickets for Saturday and Sunday include access to each of the live concerts at no extra cost.

Four-time Major Champion Rory McIlroy will join defending champion and Ryder Cup teammate Shane Lowry in the field at Wentworth, with the action inside the ropes complemented by the live entertainment on the Showstage and an unrivalled atmosphere in the Spectator Village.

The BMW PGA Championship Festival of Golf takes place less than an hour from central London, attracting more than 100,000 spectators each year. The week begins with G4D Tour @ BMW PGA Championship, seeing some of the best golfers with a disability compete for the penultimate G4D Tour title at the prestigious venue.

The Celebrity Pro-Am will once again take place on Wednesday September 13, bringing together global celebrities and some of golf’s most famous players in a fun-filled curtain raiser to the main event, the BMW PGA Championship, which tees off on Thursday September 14.

The star-studded line up includes Hollywood actor Tom Holland, football star Gareth Bale and England cricket players James Anderson, Stuart Broad and Ben Stokes.

Owners of BMW Group vehicles will once again receive preferred parking benefits, while park & ride and shuttle services from local train stations will be available free of charge to all spectators.

Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets now to avoid disappointment, with various Premium Experience and Ticket+ package options already sold out. In 2022 Friday to Sunday General Admission and all Premium Experience packages sold out ahead of the event.
