Qualifying for the Senior Open Presented by Rolex took place across four Welsh venues on Monday with 26 players securing their spots in the field at Royal Porthcawl later this week.
Hundreds of hopefuls had the opportunity to earn a place into Europe’s Senior Major Championship as aspiring over-50s players looked to reach the prestigious tournament.
Southerndown Golf Club, Pyle and Kenfig Golf Club, Machynys Peninsula and Ashburnham all served as qualifying venues.
Seven places were up for grabs at Southerndown, eight at Pyle and Kenfig, six at Machynys Peninsula and five at Ashburnham with play-offs required at the latter two venues.

The Senior Open is returning to Royal Porthcawl for the third time this week, after previously being staged at the South Wales course in 2014 and 2017.
Darren Clarke is returning to defend the title he won last year on the King’s Course at Gleneagles, which saw him become only the fourth man to win both the Senior Open and The Open.
