As Jamie Donaldson makes his 500th appearance at this week's KLM Open, we take a look at the full list of players who have also reached the same milestone on the DP World Tour.
In the 52 year long history of the DP World Tour, there have been 7,584 players that have competed in at least one event. While roughly ten percent of those have reached the milestone of 100 events, the number of players who have longevity enough to reach the summit of 500 is just 47. More than that, and the number dwindles further, underlining just how much of an achievement it is to achieve such longevity in the game.
David Howell currently leads the way in appearances on 723, but he is just one of four to have reach that impressive number - with Soren Kjeldsen the most recent addition to that list.
When three-time DP World Tour winner Jamie Donaldson will make his 500th appearance at the KLM Open at the age of 48, he will become the 47th player in history to do so.
It comes 28 years after Carl Mason became the first player to reach the milestone at the 1996 BMW International Open, at the age of 42.
Since then, there have been players from 11 different countries to play over 500 events, with Peter Baker the youngest to have done it at the age of 36 at the 2004 KLM Open, and Sandy Lyle the oldest at 56, doing so at the 2014 Masters Tournament.
