The history of the Slovakia Challenge

Following a two-year absence from the Challenge Tour International Schedule, the Slovakia Challenge returns for its fourth edition. The event will once again be played on the Legend Course at Penati Golf Resort, which features the longest hole in Europe – the 783-yard par six 15th.

In 2014, the 15thhole was played as a 539-yard par five, however, for 2015 and 2016, the players were faced with the 783-yard par six, which will once again be a challenge for this year’s event.

Scotsman Andrew McArthur won the maiden title in 2014 before Borja Virto chipped in on the 72ndhole to win in 2015 by one shot. Whilst Espen Kofstad overcame Romain Langasque in a play-off to seal victory in 2016.
