The history of the Foshan Open

The second leg of a China double-header at the end of the season, the Foshan Open gives players outside the top 15 places the chance to dramatically increase their opportunity of graduating to the European Tour with a USD500,000 prize fund.

It will celebrate its seventh year on the Challenge Tour International Schedule with every event taking place at Foshan Golf Club, and every previous winner gaining a European Tour card at the culmination of the season.

In 2018, the event saw two of the putts of the year on the 18thhole during the final round as Robert MacIntyre holed a dramatic 80ft eagle before Perez rolled in a 40ft birdie to head into a play-off where the Frenchman sealed the title.
