The Genesis Scottish Open and Fringe by the Sea are combining golf and entertainment with the exciting new Fringe by the Tee pop up stage at the Renaissance Club in East Lothian from July 10-14.
Fringe by the Tee is set to be the highlight of the Fan Zone at Scotland’s national open, creating a family-friendly experience to complement the world-class golf.
Scottish radio DJ and TV presenter Edith Bowman, former professional footballer turned DJ Pat Nevin, Deacon Blues - the only Deacon Blue tribute band hailing from Scotland – and legendary local DJs Kaiser Matt and Miss Mixtape are set to entertain the crowds gathered for the pro-am and four tournament days at Renaissance Club.
And with Fringe by the Tee also featuring daily Tee Talks with Fred MacAulay, lunchtime Sunday jazz sounds from Jazzmain Quartet and reggae beats courtesy of Messenger Sound System as well as kids activities, there is sure to be something for all the family.
This partnership brings together two award-winning events in one shared space – with the Genesis Scottish Open and Fringe by the Sea named Outstanding Sporting Event and Outstanding Cultural Event or Festival respectively at the 2023 Scottish Thistle Awards.
The 2024 Genesis Scottish Open – co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and PGA TOUR - will see some of the best players in the world gathering in East Lothian, including defending champion Rory McIlroy, Scottish star Robert MacIntyre and Major winners Xander Schauffele, Matt Fitzpatrick, Justin Rose and Justin Thomas.
