New year, new challenge.
Tyrrell Hatton and Shane Lowry have played the iconic eighth hole on the Majlis Course at Emirates Golf Club many times during their careers but never quite like this before.
The rules are simple: If the ball finishes on the fairway it is out of bounds. The player will retake the shot and get a shot penalty, with the lowest score winning.
Ahead of the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, the second Rolex Series event of the year, six-time DP World Tour winner and 2019 Open Champion Lowry took each other on in a game which goes against every golfer's instinct.
Measuring 459 yards, the par-four eighth is well known around the world with the towering Dubai skyline in full sight from the tee.
