Tadini closing in on fifth title in Moscow

Alessandro Tadini was heading for his fifth European Challenge Tour title as he reached the turn on the final day of the M2M Russian Challenge Cup, maintaining his two shot lead at the top after two birdies on the front nine moved him to nine under par.

The Italian put his experience to great use on the opening nine holes as he negotiated the front nine without a single bogey, with back to back birdies at the fourth and fifth holes keeping him two shots clear.

In second place was Alexandre Kaleka, who began the day two shots behind Tadini and remained on his coat tail thanks to birdies at the fourth and seventh which took him to the turn in two under par.

Morten Orum Madsen, playing in the final group with Tadini, was a shot further back on six under par after he bogeyed the second hole before making up for that mistake with birdies at the fourth and sixth on much calmer conditions on the final day.

Chris Doak, meanwhile, was staging an impressive comeback after suffering two bogeys in the opening five holes to birdie the seventh, eagle the par five eighth and gain another shot at the tenth to move to two under through 12 and five under for the tournament.
