Portugal’s Jose-Filipe Lima and Spaniard Adrian Otaegui will take a share of the lead into the final day of the Rolex Trophy, which will be completed on Sunday morning after lightning and heavy rain caused a lengthy suspension to the fourth round.
None of the late starters were able to finish their rounds, so will return to Golf de Genève tomorrow morning to battle it out for the €228,000 prize fund.
Having completed six and seven holes respectively of their final rounds, Lima and Otaegui currently lead the way on 16 under par, closely followed by Sweden’s Jens Dantorp on 15 under par.
Earlier in the day, play had been halted at 10.18am with thunder and lightning lighting up the skies above Geneva, before torrential rain rendered large parts of the course unplayable.
The clouds eventually parted, and after a five hour and 12 minute delay the morning starters made their way back out onto the course at 3.30pm to complete their rounds.
Korean Sihwan Kim, who finished runner-up last year, made up the most ground, carding eight birdies in a round of 66 to finish on 11 under par.
