Storm, three clear at halfway following bogey free rounds of 63 and 66, followed six straight pars with birdies at seven and ten today, taking him to 13 under for the tournament.

If the Englishman, 114th in The Race to Dubai, was feeling any nerves as he sought a victory that would guarantee his card for 2013, they certainly were not evident.

Storm was four clear at the summit, yet Omega European Masters champion Richie Ramsay was among those tied for second following a sensational performance in his penultimate round.

After bogeying the first, Ramsay birdied three holes in a row from the third and, after picking up another shot at ten, repeated the trick with another trio of gains from the 12th.

That moved him alongside Scott Jamieson and Peter Hanson at nine under, with Gonzalo Fernandez-Castaño and Danny Willett, last week’s runner-up, a shot further back.

Fernandez-Castaño had been Storm’s closest challenger for much of the day, but a double bogey six at the ninth stunted his progress.
