Spaniards Pablo Martin and Gonzalo Fernando-Castano have moved into the lead of the Ballantine's Championship with nine holes left to play at the co-sanctioned European and Asian Tour event on Jeju Island.
Having held a share of the overnight lead after 18 holes at the Pinx Golf Club on Thursday, Fernandez-Castano dropped off the pace with rounds of 74 and 76 over the next two rounds as wind and rain affected the 2.1million Euro event.
He trailed third-round leader Robert-Jan Derksen by five shots coming into the final day, but a round of four under after ten holes, including three birdies and an eagle at the fourth, pushed the runner-up from last week's Volvo Open in Beijing back up to the top of the leaderboard.
Martin meanwhile was one of the few to enjoy the wind-affected round yesterday, as he moved to within two shots of Derksen with 18 holes to play.
He reached the turn in the final round at one under on the day to move to five under overall, and put himself within nine holes of his first win since he picked up the Open de Portugal in 2007 when playing as an amateur.
Derksen meanwhile surrendered his two shot cushion over the chasing pack with bogeys at the second, eighth and ninth to drop back to three under overall.
Kang Sung-hoon was alone in second at four under after making a charge with two birdies and a tenth hole eagle in only his third event on the European Tour after featuring in China last week and at this same tournament last year.
Thongchai Jaidee and Ernie Els were level with Derksen on three under after nine holes, while England's Seve Benson had dropped back to two under with a bogey at the ninth after earlier making a charge with three birdies in his first seven holes.
