SNF Group visits the DP World Tour Championship

The Special Needs Families Group (SNFG), the Dubai-based children’s group that has been supported by the Tour Players Foundation since 2009, made a visit to the DP World Tour Championship on Saturday afternoon.

SNFG is a local organization that specialises in providing holistic support to young adults with special needs through personalized and professional care at their Children Development Centre situated in the Al Kamara area of Dubai.

The support of the Tour Players Foundation to date, has contributed to the development and expansion of their Centre, tripling the size of the facility in Al Karama which, in turn, has enabled them to significantly increase the number of children in their care since it was founded in 2007.

And, thanks to on-site fund-raising activities at Jumeirah Golf Estates this week, including a putting challenge in the public tent village, a donation from sales of the tournament Programme and Drawsheet , as well donations from the Tournament and the Tour Players Foundation the SNFG will be able to continue their great work with special needs children in Dubai.

During their visit, the SNFG were met by representatives of the European Tour Wives’ Association and Members of the Tour Players Foundation Trustees Board before touring the exceptional facilities of Jumeirah Golf Estates and participating in the putting competition in aid of the SNFG in the tented village.

But the highlight of the day was surely their involvement in the trick shot demonstration on the driving range, where world renowned expert Dave Edwards treated the kids to a spectacular display before allowing them to join him on the range to attempt their own trick shots.

The total amount raised by this week’s fund-raising activities will be announced at the conclusion of the DP World Tour Championship.
