Slattery joins the lead in Prague

Lee Slattery turned in 30 to fly up the leaderboard on day two of the D+D REAL Czech Masters.

Heavy rain and cool temperatures greeted the early starters at Albatross Golf Resort but that was no hindrance to Slattery who picked up six shots to join overnight leader Callum Shinkwin at six under.

The English duo were a shot ahead of last week's winner Julian Suri who had completed 12 holes and late starters Dylan Frittelli and Pontus Widegren.

Matthew Fitzpatrick picked up two shots in his first 11 holes with Eddie Pepperell making a single gain to get to four under on a morning where more players were moving backwards than forwards in Prague.

Slattery made gains on the tenth, 11th, a hat-trick from the 13th and another birdie on the 16th to match Pepperell's back nine 30 from Thursday.

American Suri started on the tenth and birdied the 11th but bogeys on the 14th and 15th stalled his progress. A birdie on the first got him back level for the day and when he chipped in on the par three third, he was heading in the right direction again.

England's Fitzpatrick turned in 36 from the tenth with two birdies and two bogeys but back-to-back gains on the first and second had him on the move, while countryman Pepperell's birdie came on the second.

Felipe Aguilar, Jaco Ahlers, Chris Hanson, Peter Karmis, Oscar Lengden and James Morrison were all at four under and due out in the second wave.

South African Zander Lombard and Australian Nick Cullen had moved into the group at three under after eight and seven holes respectively.
