New and existing golf fans quickly snapped up the entire allocation for round one of The European Tour event, which takes place at Woburn Golf Club on Thursday October 8.

However, spectators can still ensure they get to watch some of The European Tour’s leading players, including tournament host Ian Poulter, with discounted advanced tickets now on general sale for the remaining three rounds, which take place from Friday October 9 to Sunday October 11. Tickets are available jointly viawww.europeantourtickets.comandwww.sky.com/tickets.

Jamie Birkmyre, Championship Director of the British Masters supported by Sky Sports, said: “We are obviously delighted with the huge demand for ‘Sky Sports Thursday’ free tickets we experienced over the weekend, and we can look forward to a superb atmosphere for the opening round to mark the tournament’s return to The European Tour.

“Following this response, there will be no admission on the gate for round one, as part of Sky Sports Thursday, and all ticketholders must produce their electronic ticket to ensure entry.

“Tickets for the final three rounds are now on general sale, with substantial discounts available on the gate price, so there is still the chance to come along to Woburn in October and watch Ian Poulter and the rest of the European Tour players in action at the British Masters supported by Sky Sports.”

Jason Wessely, Executive Producer of golf on Sky Sports said: “It was encouraging to see such huge demand for the British Masters from the moment that tickets were made available. It’s all part of our ongoing efforts to attempt to attract a new audience to golf, and it’s clear from the response that the British public is relishing the return of this iconic event. With 15,000 fans confirmed for ‘Sky Sports Thursday’ the atmosphere is going to be great.”

Any one day tickets, which can be used from Friday October 9 to Sunday October 11, cost £20 (£10 concession) if purchased before May 31, or £25 (£15 concession) before October 4. The full gate price is £30.

Adult season tickets (Friday – Sunday) cost £50 (£25 concession) before May 31, or £65 (£35 concession) before October 4. The full gate price for a season ticket is £75.

Woburn Golf Club will also host the Travis Perkins Masters on the European Senior Tour from September 4-6, and spectators can purchase combined tickets for both events.
