Wang's wonderful birdie run

Three-time winner Jeunghun Wang is just six events into his DP World Tour return after around two years away, and he is already well and truly back up to speed. He stormed into contention on the back nine on Saturday with five successive birdies from the 12th courtesy of some remarkable putting. The 27-year-old shares the lead with Alejandro Del Rey ahead of the final round after finishing his 66 with a birdie at the last.

A good bogey?

If there is such a thing as a good bogey, Tom McKibbin made one at the par-four 12th. Playing his fourth shot from the fairway, the Northern Irishman lifted it to within a few feet to only drop one shot.

Mansell's marvellous move

Richard Mansell shot the lowest round of the day on Saturday, firing seven birdies and no bogeys in his 65 to climb the leaderboard. He is one shot back with 18 holes to play.

Ding's biggest fan

Reigning U.S. Junior Amateur Champion Ding Wenyi returned to the course early on day three to finish his second round, birdieing the 17th to take the outright lead on 12 under par before holing an important par putt at the last.
