Simon Seungmin Lee holds a commanding six-shot lead ahead of the final round of the ISPS HANDA All Abilities Australian Championship as he bids for victory on his G4D Tour debut.
The South Korean, who is autistic, began the second round of the three-day event alongside World Number One Kipp Popert but seized control with a five-under 67 at Kingston Heath Golf Club.
Lee has played on the Korean and Japan Tours this year and arrived as a pre-tournament favourite, underlining that status by being the only player in the elite 12-strong field to break par on Friday.
Three front-nine birdies saw Lee hit the turn at four under, and despite back-to-back bogeys at the tenth and 11th the 27-year-old recovered to make four birdies in his final six holes.
Popert, who won this title in 2022, lost ground with a one-over 73 to head into the final 18 holes at even par.
The Englishman was two under for his day through 14 holes as he made four birdies either side of two bogeys, only to fall back with a double-bogey and bogey at the 15th and 16th.
Mike Browne was five shots worse off at five over after a 76, with Australian Wayne Perske a shot further back after a 74.
Brendan Lawlor and Kurtis Barkley also both made the 36-hole cut, with Spaniard Juan Postigo Arce among those to miss out as he was forced to retire though nine holes of his second round.
