Setting the Scene: Golf Club Bad Ragaz

Since 1997, Golf Club Bad Ragaz has played host to the European Senior Tour. Despite lying on relatively flat land, the surrounding mountains make this one of the most picturesque courses in the world and is the reason so many golfers have succumbed to its charms.

This course has hosted some terrific scoring over the years; which may not be particularly surprising given its 6241 yards in length. However, what truly makes this course a birdie farm is its flatness.

Golfers experience a flat lie on nearly every shot they take and are, more often than not, hitting to a green on their level. This makes the job of the caddies all the easier as yardages and club selection becomes a simpler task.

Pin point accuracy is more achievable on this course than most others as the greens are forgiving and hold relatively little surprises for the seasoned tour players.

Austrian Gordon Manson won this event last time out with a score of 14 under par. He cited his improved short game as the reason for his low scoring around Bad Ragaz; highlighting accuracy as the key to this event.
