There are several ways to earn the right to play on the European Challenge Tour.
You could earn a card by going to European Tour Qualifying School, play in a Challenge Tour event on an invite, finish in the top five on a satellite tour Order of Merit, or win three times on one of the satellite tours – and the latter is exactly what Sweden’s Christopher Sahlström achieved.
Sahlström marked himself as one to watch iafter racking up an incredible four Nordic Golf League victories in the space of just seven events during the middle of the 2019 season. The Swede’s historic run started on home soil at the Barsebäck Resort Masters in May, before going on to capture three titles in four starts at the Tinderbox Charity Challenge - For De Vildeste Fugle, Camfil Nordic Championship and Borre Open.
The 27-year-old made seven starts on the Road to Mallorca in 2020 and despite only making two cuts, would have found the experience very useful in finding his feet ahead of the task of fighting to keep his card in 2021.
