Sandy Lyle took a trip down memory lane as he played his final competitive shot at Augusta National with a replica of the putter which helped him to Masters glory in 1988.
Lyle brought his highly-successful career to an end when the delayed second round reached its conclusion on Saturday morning, two-putting from the fringe of the 18th green before receiving a warm ovation from the patrons.
He marked the occasion of his 42nd and last Masters appearance by using a familiar putter - a replica of the one he had in his bag when he tasted victory 35 years ago.
Lyle said: "The replica putter is an idea that Ping came up with and they reproduced the model of putter I used in '88, which is a Ping Pal, and they obviously reserved one for me.
"And I didn't realise it was going to be a gold-ish one. So we thought it would be nice to use it on the last hole from 12 feet.

"I had it presented to me by my caddie. It was just a nice moment to use a putter that I used many, many years ago."
Lyle was grateful for the reception he got at the 18th green, adding: "The (patrons) have been very supportive.
"Yesterday they all stood up coming up the 18th.
"So they're nice memories and I'm going home with a good feeling."
