Jesper Sandborg will return to the Challenge Tour next season after topping the Nordic Golf League’s Order of Merit in 2024.
The Swede, who played two full seasons on the Challenge Tour in 2021 and 2022, will tee it up again in 2025 after winning twice and recording nine other top ten finishes during an outstanding campaign.
Sandborg impressed in his only Challenge Tour appearance this term, finishing in a career-best second place in the Indoor Golf Group Challenge on home soil, and will be hoping to carry that form onto the 2025 Road to Mallorca.
Sandborg will be joined on the Challenge Tour by four other graduates from the Nordic Golf League, including countrymen Albin Bergström, Oliver Gillberg and Hugo Townsend, and Dane Jens Kristian Thysted.
Bergström ended the season in second place on the Order of Merit after finding consistency throughout the entirety of the year. He notched 15 top ten finishes on his way to promotion, which also saw him earn a breakthrough win in the Bravo Tours Open by Enjoy Resorts in April.
Kristian Thysted won twice in the opening nine events of the season to boost his early promotion chances and confirmed his graduation with four top ten finishes in the final two months of the season.
Gillberg and Townsend finished the year in sixth and seventh place on the Order of Merit respectively but gained promotion due to two of the top five earning a better category after impressing at Final Stage Qualifying School.
Gillberg is no stranger to the Challenge Tour having teed it up on ten occasions in 2024, and will do so with full playing privileges next year after securing wins in back-to-back weeks during the Nordic Golf League season.
Townsend started the year by picking up top five finishes in three of the opening four events and went on to win the Titleist Championship in a playoff during the final month of the season to guarantee graduation.
