Ryan Fox breaks course record at Te Arai Links on trip back home

After a month on the road on the DP World Tour, Ryan Fox was back playing at his home club in New Zealand last week - and broke the course record in the process.

With three top 20s in his first four starts of 2023, the Kiwi kept his game sharp with a visit to Te Arai Links, a 90-minute drive from Auckland.

During a casual round with friends over the South Course on Friday, Fox made 12 birdies in a bogey-free 60 to comfortably better the previous best score of 63, as he returned home following the Singapore Classic.

He opened with four consecutive birdies to turn in 29, before another four-hole birdie stretch midway through the back nine helped him to come home in 31.

Last month, Fox won the 2022 Seve Ballesteros Award after being voted Player of the Year for last season by his fellow professionals on the DP World Tour.

The recognition followed a stellar campaign which saw him win twice and finish in a career-best second place on the DP World Tour Rankings presented by Rolex.

His fine form last year has earned the three-time DP World Tour winner a debut appearance at the Masters Tournament in April.
