Antoine Rozner joined Calum Hill at the top of a congested leaderboard on day three of the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open.
The Scotsman entered the weekend at Heritage Golf Club with a one shot advantage and turned in 33 to get to 15 under and stay at the top of the leaderboard.
But fellow Challenge Tour graduate Rozner picked up five shots in his first ten holes to take a share of the lead.
Rookie Rasmus Højgaard was then at 14 under alongside Belgian Thomas Detry, a shot clear of South African Christiaan Bezuienhout and American Sihwan Kim.
Dane Søren Kjeldsen and Italy's Renato Paratore were then three shots off the lead.
The par five second was proving gettable and Detry made a birdie to join the lead but Hill repeated the trick to edge back one ahead.
Rozner had been another player to make his four on the second with two putts and he soon jumped into a share of the lead as he holed a long putt at the fifth for an eagle after driving the green.
He quickly had the solo lead as Hill missed the green at the par three third and failed to get up and down.
Detry drove to the side of the fifth and got up and down to rejoin the lead as Paratore made a big move through the field on the front nine.
He made the most of the two par fives, birdied the sixth and then played an excellent chip at the driveable ninth to set up another birdie, turn in 32 and get to 12 under.
Hill made his birdie at the fifth after driving just short of the green but it was not a three way tie for long as Rozner got up and down from the sand at the par five seventh.
A tee shot into the rough left Hill with work to do at the sixth but he played a stunning second to set up another birdie and join Rozner at the top.
Højgaard was quietly going about his business and the 18-year-old Dane took advantage of the second and the two short par fours on the front nine to sit just two back.
He was soon three off the lead, however, as Rozner took an iron off the tee at the ninth and left himself 12 feet for a birdie to turn in 31.
Hill was in similar range at the seventh and made no mistake to join Rozner, with the duo now two clear of the rest.
Højgaard holed a long putt on the tenth, with playing partner and countryman Kjeldsen doing the same to add to gains on the third and seventh.
Bezuidenhout had been level par for his round after eight holes but a hat-trick of birdies from the ninth put him within three.
Detry took the driver out on the ninth and found the putting surface, getting down in two to get to 14 under, where he was joined by Højgaard who put an approach to four feet at the 11th.
Bezuidenhout then made it four birdies in a row and was joined at 13 under by Kim, who had gains at the second, seventh, ninth and tenth to go with a bogey on the third.
South Africans Oliver Bekker and Thirston Lawrence held the clubhouse lead at 11 under.
