Wayne Westner gained his second success on the European Tour by holing a five foot putt at the last to edge out Argentina's Jose Coceres who, approaching the 72nd, lay only one shot behind. But it was a round of mixed fortunes for Westner who, starting out four shots clear, dropped three strokes in five holes to reach the turn in 38 thereby opening the door to his rivals. Paul Eales, striking his irons with unerring accuracy, and Coceres, out in 34, both made inspired challenges. Westner, however, recovered strongly with four birdies before suffering a two shot swing with a bogey at the 16th where Coceres hit a six iron to one foot. Coceres made a closing birdie from out of a bunker, but Westner was equal to the task as he holed from five feet for the winning birdie.
