American Mark O'Meara got up and down at each of the last two holes to close with a 69 and secure his second European Tour success following victory in the 1987 Lawrence Batley International. O'Meara, out in 35, parred the first five holes from the turn, bogeyed the 15th but holed from 12ft for birdie at the 16th before those two saving pars which denied Jarmo Sandelin, who finished with a 67.
