Frank Nobilo came from four shots behind third round leader Jarmo Sandelin to win by two strokes in Munich for his fourth Volvo Tour victory. Bernhard Langer, who started out on nine under, reached the turn in 32 to move to 14 under, but Nobilo also advanced following an eagle three at the first. Despite bogeying the next, he then gathered five more birdies in eight holes to take the lead. Neither Sandelin or Langer made further progress on the inward nine, and Nobilo was clear of the field before making a bogey at the last.
