Rosa Challenge Tour: Three to Watch

The Rosa Challenge Tour, taking place this week at Rosa Golf Club, sees the return of the Challenge Tour to Poland for the first time in 15 years. Here are three players to look out for…

Form horse – Oihan Guillamoundeguy

Oihan Guillamoundeguy (3)

Oihan Guillamoundeguy is one of the form players on the Challenge Tour having racked up four top 12 finishes in his last five starts. The 19-year-old Frenchman is one of the brightest prospects on the Road to Mallorca, with recent performances seeing him climb up to 43rd in the Rankings and within striking distance of the promotion places. This is Guillamoundeguy’s first full season on the Challenge Tour after he earned promotion from the Alps Tour in 2023, and he’ll continue his pursuit of back-to-back promotions this week.

Local boy – Mateusz Gradecki

Mateusz Gradecki earned a maiden Challenge Tour title two years ago in the Limpopo Championship at Euphoria Golf Club in South Africa, before going on to earn playing privileges on the DP World Tour that same year. The 31-year-old has since returned to the Challenge Tour and will be hoping to kick-start his Road to Mallorca campaign with a strong showing on home soil. Interestingly, Gradecki teed it up the last time the Challenge Tour visited Poland, back in 2009, where he played as an amateur.

The outsider – Matt Oshrine

Matt Oshrine tees it up this week having triumphed in the Rosa Challenge Tour Qualifier in July to earn his place in the field this week in Konopiska. The American fired a six under par round of 66 in the 18-hole shoot-out before coming out on top in playoff to guarantee his spot, and will be hoping to use the course knowledge garnered during qualifying to give him an edge this week. Oshrine has made four cuts from eight starts on the Challenge Tour in 2024 and will be looking to make the most of his latest outing.
