Robin Williams has burst into the spotlight after a composed 65 saw him hold a one-shot lead at the Alfred Dunhill Championship.
The 22-year-old, who has been starring on the co-sanctioned Sunshine Tour in recent weeks, rolled in eight birdies and a solitary bogey to sit at the top of the leaderboard at Leopard Creek Country Club.
Williams is one clear of Jayden Schaper and Spaniard Manuel Elvira, who both carded seven gains and a dropped shot in their 66s, while six South Africans sit in the top nine after the first round.
However, he has a fascinating backstory which includes a famous middle name and an appearance at the 2018 Junior Ryder Cup.
Williams grew up in Peterborough and progressed through the English Golf system, which eventually led to him earning a place at the Junior Ryder Cup in Paris alongside Rasmus and Nicolai Højgaard – the latter who starred in this year's senior event as Team Europe regained the Ryder Cup.
He picked up two points for Team Europe five years ago, but for Williams, the highlight of the whole event was meeting his hero Tiger Woods.
During the encounter, Williams told Woods that his middle name is in fact Tiger, in honour of the 15-time Major Champion who was stood directly in front of him.
However, if his dad had his way, Williams would have been named after another sporting great.
"So the story that I've heard from him is that he wanted to call me Sachin after Sachin Tendulkar, the cricket player, my dad was a really good cricket player, but he did play golf at the time as well," Williams explained after his opening 65.
"I think my mum said no and he went with Tiger Woods, and I just happen to play golf.

"I'm gonna have to ask him again tonight about that, but I think it is coincidence that he named me after Tiger Woods and now I'm playing golf.
"I've been asked that question a lot throughout my junior, amateur and now professional career, but for me it is just an honour to be named after that man.
"Big fan, how can I not be? He's probably the reason why I'm standing here and he has opened the doors for millions of guys out there. You could probably ask all these guys that's playing now, probably the reason why they are playing here today is because of him."
