The Frenchman has enjoyed a stellar rookie season on the 2017 Road to Oman, securing a first European Challenge Tour title at the Galgorm Resort & Spa Northern Ireland Open presented by Modest! Golf and three further top ten finishes to put himself firmly in contention for a place in the top 15.

Sat in 14thspot on the 2017 Road to Oman with just one event to go, the 23 year old is not resting on his laurels and will start the tournament pretending he is outside of the European Tour places.

“It is very tight in the Rankings right now,” he said. “I have just got to go out there, focus on myself and play my game.

“I still have some work to do, I am 14thright now and 15this just one thousand points behind me, so it is really, really close.

“When you’re just outside the top 15 you know that you just have to go for it but you need to keep telling yourself you’re not safe.

“In my mind I am going to pretend that I am 20thand still need a really good week, hopefully that will spur me on to finish inside the top 15.

“I just need one more good week. The best 45 players are here and anything can happen so I am just really looking forward to it.

“I am going to give it one hundred per cent and whatever happens, happens. Extraordinary things can happen at this tournament so we’ll how it goes.”

Sciot-Siegrist, who only turned professional in July last year, is delighted with the progress he has made this term – and is now aiming to achieve his second goal of the season: to make the European Tour.

“It has been a really good season for me,” he said. “I had played a few Challenge Tour events last year but this was my first full season and it has been a great one so far.

“My aim at the beginning was to finish in the top 15 and to win a tournament. I was able to get my first win in Northern Ireland so I now have to finish the job this week.”
