The 2019 ISPS Handa World Super 6 Perth will certainly live long in the memory of Ryan Fox after he secured his maiden European Tour title at the 79th attempt on Sunday, but he is not the only one who shone in Western Australia.
Last week's tournament, which treated the assembled crowds to a combination of stroke play and match play, also saw Qualifying School graduates Per Langfors and Kristoffer Reitan make a name for themselves.
Norwegian Reitan was an amateur when he finished in a tie for 20th at the Qualifying School Final Stage in Tarragona to earn his playing privileges for this season.
And he made a solid start to life on Tour, recording top-50 finishes at the Alfred Dunhill Championship and ISPS Handa Vic Open ahead of the trip to Perth.
The 20-year-old enjoyed a fruitful first three days, posting two 65s either side of Friday's 77 to finish a single shot behind Langfors in a tie for second after 54 holes.
Reitan kept the momentum going on Sunday, beating Panuphol Pittayarat 1up in the second round before falling to champion Fox in the quarter-finals.
His joint-fifth finish was his best on the European Tour to date and will give him plenty of confidence as he bids to achieve his aim of keeping his card.
He said: "I'm just trying to get my card for next year, that's my main goal for this season.
"(Being on Tour involves) a lot of travelling, but I'm really enjoying everything about it. This is where I want to be. I want to be out there with the best guys, the best players.
"So yeah, I'm really enjoying it."
After four years on the Nordic Golf League, Swede Langfors came through all three stages of the Qualifying School in 2018 to earn his European Tour card.
The 24-year-old missed the cut in his first four events of the season but emerged as a real threat at Lake Karrinyup Country Club as he produced matching 71s on Thursday and Friday before Saturday's spectacular 64 propelled him to the top of the leaderboard and earned him the top seeding heading into Sunday's match play contest.
He went on to be beaten by eventual runner-up Adrian Otaegui in a tight match but goes away with a ninth-place finish - his best so far.
Like Reitan, Langfors is enjoying being a European Tour player.
He said: "It's really good, it's so fun. I mean, I'm just enjoying every second of it."
