The DP World Tour returned to Singapore last year after a nine-year hiatus with South Africa’s Ockie Strydom triumphing at Laguna National thanks to a flawless 63 in the final round.
Major champion Shane Lowry tees it up in Singapore for the first time in 12 years, while World Number 27 Matthieu Pavon is the highest ranked player in the field as he makes his first start on the DP World Tour since becoming a PGA TOUR winner earlier this year.
Japan’s Rikuya Hoshino, who won his maiden DP World Tour title at last month’s Commercial Bank Qatar Masters, is joined by a host of other Asian stars such as Kiradech Aphibarnrat, Gavin Green and Li Haotong.

Fantasy Insight: As it stands, Shane Lowry is the favourite among players of our Fantasy Game this week, featuring in 82% of teams. Other popular players include Rasmus Højgaard (59%) and Matthieu Pavon (54%).
Tom McKibbin, who has finished in the top 25 in each event so far this year, is the fourth most picked player, featuring in 43% of Fantasy teams.
Favourite - Shane Lowry
Optimism won't be in short supply for the 2019 Open Champion as he arrives in the Far East after a closing 66 at THE PLAYERS Championship, including a near hole-in-one on the iconic 17th hole at TPC Sawgrass.
The final-round performance was enough to see the Irishman finish in a tie for 19th, following on from back-to-back top fives during the Florida swing stateside.
As a result of those performances, he has risen back inside the top 50 on the Official World Golf Ranking and will be hoping to mount a challenge for a seventh DP World Tour title this week.
Form Horse - Richard Mansell
When the Englishman has teed it up so far this season he has impressed, with no worse than a tie for 25th in his six starts so far across the first two Global Swings.
In fact, prior to missing the three events in Africa at the end of the International Swing he recorded back-to-back top 10s in Ras Al Khaimah and Qatar as he climbed to a career-high 156th on the world rankings.
Mansell also has positive memories of his visit to Laguna National last year after he finished in a tie for sixth - could this be the week he lands his maiden DP World Tour title?
Wild Card - Ockie Strydom
Despite being the defending champion, the South African surprisingly only features in 1% of teams among Fantasy users.
This is perhaps explained by a loss of form which followed his victory in Singapore last year - his second DP World Tour title in six starts - as he missed the cut in 15 of his subsequent 18 starts.
Since the start of the new season, he has shown glimpses of an upturn however, highlighted by a top-five finish in Bahrain where he put a new putter into his bag.
Looking back - Jonsson Workwear Open
The International Swing reached a dramatic climax with Matteo Manassero ending a near 11-year wait wait for his fifth DP World Tour title.
The popular Italian was selected by just over 1% of Fantasy users meaning big gains were there to be had in the mini leagues for those who selected him.
Tom McKibbin, our Favourite, continued his fine form by finishing in a tie for ninth at Glendower Golf Club,
Scotsman Connor Syme enjoyed an excellent finish to the International Swing, with his third top 10 in as many starts ensuring he consolidated his standing as the best-performing player in DP World Tour Fantasy.
Readers of this weekly feature will have been pleased if they followed our Wild Card suggestion as rising star Ryan Van Velzen impressed on home soil with a tie for 11th.
