The heat and the pressures of the Challenge Tour’s season-ending NBO Golf Classic Grand Final were temporarily forgotten yesterday as three of the Tour’s leading players enjoyed an unconventional practice afternoon at Muscat’s stunning Shangri La Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa.
Road to Oman Rankings leader Ricardo Gouveia and number two Sebastien Gros were joined by last year’s champion in Oman, Max Orrin, for some beachside fun in the sun.
After the top two had ‘sparred’ over the Rankings plate, and Orrin had been reacquainted with his trophy from 12 months ago, the trio hit some balls into the sea, aiming at a hole in the stunning cliff-face.
The luxury five-star Shangri La is also offering a fantastic hole-in-one prize this week: a seven-night stay at the hotel for an ace on the fifth hole.
Additionally there is a hole-in-one prize on the 13
th
hole, where Oman Air are giving away a business class ticket to any of their destinations if a player holes out from the tee.
