Play resumed at 12.03 local time after a two hours and 48 minute delay due to due to a threat of lightning in the area at the 2012 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone.
With storms forecast since Saturday measures had already been taken to ensure completion as players took to the South Course in three-balls and in a two-tee start at 8 o’clock on Sunday morning.
Players were withdrawn from the course at 0915 local time.
