Chris Paisley continued where he left off from the first round to top of the leaderboard at the BMW SA Open Championship Proudly hosted by the City of Ekurhuleni at Glendower Golf Club.
Englishman Paisley carded seven birdies and a bogey during his first round of 66 and he maintained that momentum with two more gains in his front nine to move to eight under for the tournament.
A birdie at the tenth made him co-leader with Kruyswijk and when he picked up another shot on the par four 12th with a five foot putt, he was the leader.
Paisley found water with his tee shot at the next, which forced him to give a shot back, but the World Number 289 immediately hit back to record a birdie two at the par three 14th to regain first place at ten under.
South Africa's Jacques Kruyswijk, two-time US Open Championship winner Retief Goosen and Adrien Saddier are one stroke adrift as the Frenchman turned in 32 on his front nine following a gain at the 13th followed by three straight birdies from the 15th.
Saddier carded his ninth gain of the tournament at the par five second as he remained flawless through 30 holes played.
Goosen produced a vintage second round performance to record six under from 11 holes in Ekurhuleni, which included four birdies and an eagle at the par five eighth.
Kruyswijk, who earned his playing privileges at the European Tour through Qualifying School in November, recorded seven gains and two bogeys on his way to a second round 67 in the four-way tie for second.
Scott Vincent carded the round of the morning as he rattled in seven birdies and one bogey to register an impressive 66 and sit alongside overnight co-leader Brendan Grace at eight under.
The Zimbabwean hit four gains in his opening nine holes and, after a birdie-bogey from the 11th, Vincent holed two more birdies at the 15th and 16th to finish the round in six under par.
Grace, who recorded a trio of eagles in a colourful first round of 65, only registered two birdies in a steady second day before a dropped shot at the last blemished his card.
