After play finished on Saturday evening at the Foshan Open the ninth green was transformed into an arena with hundreds of fans staying to watch professionals and amateurs compete in the first ever staging of the contest.

A total of 12 professionals, six from the European Challenge Tour and six from the China Tour, competed against one another to try and hole a 200-yard putt.

After an elimination round six professionals teamed up with guests from Rifeng Enterprise Group, Guangdong Shiwan Wine Group, Hitatchi Elevator China, New World China Land, Carabao and K11 Concepts in a nearest the pin contest.

Scotland’s Bradley Neil miraculously holed out from 200 feet in practice while China’s Zhang Hui-lin putted to three feet in the elimination stage.

The winners of the competition were Denmark’s Martin Ovesen and New World China Limited though, with both the professional and amateur excelling in all three stages – Ovesen putted to six feet in the final round to clinch the title for his team.
