Otaegui keeps Colsaerts in his sights

Adrian Otaegui increased the pressure on Thursday’s runaway leader Nicolas Colsaerts as the Spaniard was among those to complete delayed first rounds at the Portugal Masters on Friday.

Otaegui was seven under through 14 holes, four shots behind Belgian Colsaerts who narrowly missed out on The European Tour’s first round of 59, when rain forced the players off the course on Thursday evening.

After a further delay on Friday morning Otaegui, ranked 120th on The Race to Dubai, picked up another shot on the par four 15th for a flawless round of 63 at the Oceånico Victoria Golf Club.

Otaegui was joint third alongside Scott Jamieson, one behind Alexander Levy who birdied the first hole of his second round, the par four tenth.

While Otaegui was ending his first round, Colsaerts was among those starting their second in fair conditions which were forecast to continue for the rest of the day.
