Spain’s Adrian Otaegui and Felipe Aguilar of Chile displaced round two’s trio of frontrunners atop the NH Collection Open leaderboard midway through the third round in Spain.
Wales’ Bradley Dredge joined England’s David Horsey and Scotland’s Marc Warren at the top on five under this morning as the delayed second round was completed.
However, the UK trio fell away as Otaegui and Aguilar took a one-shot advantage on five under.
The Spaniard started with a double bogey at the par four first but recovered with three birdies in his first eight holes. Although Aguilar also began badly, dropping a shot at the opening hole, he responded with three consecutive gains before letting a shot slip at the sixth.
Horsey was one shot back alongside fellow Englishman Matthew Nixon and Scot Richie Ramsay.
Warren was in a group on three under while Dredge had slipped back to one under.
