Lasse Jensen is looking forward to testing himself against the best players in the world after earning a berth at the Open Championship with his second-placed finish at the Nordea Masters.
A spot at Royal Troon was available to the highest-placed non-exempt player within the top five at Bro Hof Slott Golf Club and with winner Matthew Fitzpatrick already exempt, Jensen's 13 under par total was enough to take him to Scotland.
The Dane had put himself in contention with a 66 on Saturday but despite two eagles on Sunday, he was still on the outside looking in stood on the 17th tee, with playing partner Nicolas Colsaerts in line to take the place by virtue of his higher placing in the Official World Golf ranking.
But when the Belgian found the water off the tee, Jensen made a par and took a two-shot advantage up the last, meaning Colsaerts' closing birdie was not enough.
"It's a huge thing because it will be my first Major so for me to be in the Open Championship is pretty awesome," he said.

"When I came down the 18th I could see that I had a chance of it and I grabbed it and it feels great.
"As a little kid you watch the Open and it's the best players in the world - that's why I play golf, that's why we're here, to compete with the best players."
Not only has the 31 year old secured his place at his first Major Championship but he also made sure of his best European Tour finish in the process.
The highlight of his closing 68 came when he holed a seven iron from 152 yards on the sixth for an eagle, and Jensen is now hoping he can use this week as a springboard for his career.
"It's huge," he said. "I've had a great week in Stockholm and it's the best result of my career. I think this is a stepping stone to something greater but at the moment this is the biggest for me.
"It never looked like Fitzpatrick was going to drop a shot. I've played with him a few times and he's a very solid player. I was just trying to stick to my own game-plan and you never know what's going to happen.
"When you experience that on a final Sunday and you're in contention, you've just got to enjoy that moment. It looked good the whole way and then when the people went mad up there I knew it was in and it was just one of those things.
"Some weeks it goes your way and those things have really been in my favour this week."
