OPEN D'ITALIA: Day 2 in numbers

156 players started the day, 78 remain for the final two rounds. There's been plenty of birdies and eagles in a low scoring opening two days at the OPEN D'ITALIA presented by DIAMIANI. Our stats team has compiled this list of the best facts and figures from the second round.

131- Leading score after 36 holes shared by Jens Fahrbring and Lucas Bjerregaard.

27- Birdies between the leading pair after two rounds. They both played with each other on during the first two rounds.

3,681- Miles Fahrbring traveled to play this week having finished third in the Challenge Tour's Kazakstan Open last week.

29- Back nine score from Pedro Oriol. Five birdies and eagle on the way in jumped the Spaniard into a tie for third.

15- Consecutive rounds of 71 or better for Rikard Karlberg, who is three shots back. The Swede is forty under par for those rounds dating back to the final round of the Omega European Masters in July.

1,269- Birdies already this week, compared to just 722 bogeys.

31- Greens in regulation for Felipe Aguilar, most in the field. However, the Chilean missed the cut by a shot.

1- Player in the field who is yet to drop a shot. Fabrizio Zanotti has carded 26 pars, nine birdies and an eagle so far this week.

322- Average yardage of Nicolas Colsaerts' drives this week. Even more impressive when you consider how soft the fairways are.

10- Different nationalities in the top 11 players on the leaderboard after 36 holes (Sweden, Denmark, Spain, France, Paraguay, Belgian, USA, Germany, Austria, Italy).

78- Players made the cut at four under or better. Ties the lowest cut in relation to par of the season (Other: Joburg Open).

4.3 - The scoring average of both the hardest (par four 13th hole) and easiest (par five 16th hole) holes in round two.

70.1- Scoring average on day two, 0.5 shots lower than the opening round.
