The German won by three shots in 2013 and is this week looking to become the first to successfully defend the Trophee Hassan II title since the €1.5 million tournament joined The European Tour International Schedule in 2010.

Siem (0805 local time) will play the first two rounds in Agadir with England’s Fisher, who triumphed for the first time in almost four years at the Tshwane Open in South Africa two weeks ago, and Joburg Open champion Coetzee, who at 54th in the Official World Golf Ranking is looking for a big performance to attempt to move into the top 50 and with it secure a Masters Tournament berth.

Elsewhere, former European Number One Robert Karlsson will take to the lush Moroccan fairways at 1235 on Thursday with Abu Dhabi champion Pablo Larrazabal and Finland’s Mikko Ilonen, while Ryder Cup Captain Paul McGinley (1245) will play alongside European Team hopefuls Rafa Cabrera-Bello and Denmark’s Morten Orum Madsen.

Former winner Michael Hoey, who prevailed in 2012, will tee off at 1225 local time with the English pair of Chris Wood and Danny Willett, while 2011 winner and Trophee Hassan II specialist David Horsey (0755) has promising Austrian Bernd Wiesberger and 2012 Ryder Cup Captain José María Olazábal for company over the first two days.

Meanwhile, at 0815 on Thursday a high quality, multiple-European Tour winning three-ball will get started, a group consisting of Tommy Fleetwood, Brett Rumford and Raphael Jacquelin.
