Omega European Masters – Fantasy DP World Tour Ones to Watch

The DP World Tour returns to Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club this week for the historic Omega European Masters in the Swiss Alps.

Rasmus Højgaard will be looking to mount a successful title defence as he returns from a month-long break, while recent first-time Tour winners Adrian Meronk and Sean Crocker are also in the field which includes 2016 Masters Tournament champion Danny Willett

If you have not done so already, you can sign up now to the official Fantasy Game of the DP World Tour and submit your six-man team before round one on Thursday: https://fantasy.dpworldtour.com.

Favourite – Ryan Fox

Ryan Fox-1411198017

A regular in these features over recent months, Fox arrives in Switzerland sitting in sixth position on the DP World Tour Rankings in Partnership with Rolex and has missed just three cuts in 16 starts this season. The New Zealander claimed his second Tour title earlier this year at the Ras al Khaimah Classic and since then has registered three runner-up finishes in Belgium, the Netherlands and most recently in Ireland last month. The 35-year-old, ranked 48th in the Official World Golf Rankings, finished in the top ten on his debut at this week’s event in 2017.

Form horse – Renato Paratore

After making just one cut in his first 14 starts of the season, Paratore has hit a run of form in recent weeks that has seen him climb up the DP World Tour Rankings. The two-time DP World Tour winner finished tied third at Celtic Manor at the start of the month and has since followed up that result – his best since he won the 2020 Betfred British Masters – with a top five in Northern Ireland and tied 13th at the weather-affected D+D Real Czech Masters last week. In seven appearances in the Swiss Alps, the 25-year-old Italian has two top tens, including last year when he finished in a share of seventh place.

Wild card – Miguel Angel Jimenez

A player with a winning record is one to watch out for, as is a player with great experience around a certain layout. In Miguel Ángel Jiménez, we have both. The charismatic Spaniard will make his 32nd appearance at Crans this week. A champion here in 2010, one of 21 victories on Tour, the 58-year-old will be aiming to replicate the form that has seen him win twice on the PGA TOUR Champions this season and register top tens at both the U.S. Senior Open and KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship this year.
