Thorbjørn Olesen turned in 30 to open up a two-shot lead midway through the second round of the Turkish Airlines Open.
The 26 year old has not been in the best form of late, making just three of his last 12 cuts, but his game was in top condition on Friday as he made four birdies on the front nine at Regnum Carya Golf & Spa Resort to get to ten under.
Spanish duo Jorge Campillo and Adrian Otaegui were then at eight under, a shot clear of Thongchai Jaidee, Joakim Lagergren and Matteo Manassero.
Otaegui was making the big move of the day at seven under for his first 15 holes, while Lagergren had six birdies in his first 14.
Otaegui began the day six shots off the lead of George Coetzee but flew through the field as he started with five straight birdies and added another on the 18th.
Olesen joined him at seven under with a birdie on the second and after an excellent tee-shot on the par three sixth, the Dane was out in front on his own.
Otaegui then holed a lengthy putt on the fifth to join the lead but Olesen got in on the act with a 30-footer on the eighth and when he holed from ten feet on the ninth, his lead was two shots.
Campillo turned in 31 with three birdies, the highlight being a stunning approach to set up a gain on the fifth.
Lagergren had birdies on the 12th, 13th, 17th, 18th, first and fifth as he, like Campillo, went in search of a first European Tour win.
Jaidee had four birdies and a bogey in his first ten holes, while Manassero turned in 32.
Coetzee, David Horsey, David Lipsky, James Morrison and Robert Rock were then all at six under.
