Olesen clings to narrow lead

Thorbjørn Olesen saw his lead cut to one shot after a topsy-turvy start to his final round at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship on Sunday.

The 25 year old, who began day four with a three stroke lead, got off to a strong start, rolling in his eight foot birdie putt at the first to move to 18 under par.

But Olesen slipped back to 15 under after following up a double bogey at the par four second with a dropped shot at the third.

The Dane bounced back in style, firing consecutive birdies at the fourth and fifth holes to return to the top of the leaderboard, before safely parring the next four holes to reach the turn in 36.

Brooks Koepka, Kiradech Aphibarnrat, Chris Stroud and Benjamin Hebert were one stroke behind on 16 under par as Olesen began his back nine.

Stewart Cink, who won The Open Championship in 2009, was among the group another shot back on 15 under after mixing seven birdies with a single bogey in his first 15 holes.
