The Chairman of Turkey’s largest conglomerate, Koҫ Holding, he enjoyed a strong and fruitful relationship with The European Tour, introducing professional tournament golf to his home country for the first time in 1997 with the Senior Tour’s Beko Classic.

Koҫ had a huge passion for the game of golf, playing a major role in The European Tour’s ongoing presence in Turkey, while he was also a member of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club.

Keith Waters, Chief Operating Officer of The European Tour, said: “We were very saddened to hear of the death of Mustafa and he will be a massive loss to the golfing world.

“He has been a great friend to myself and many others at The European Tour for over 20 years, including the likes of Tommy Horton – having worked together on the very first Senior Tour events down at the National Golf Club in Antalya.

“He will be very sadly missed among everybody in the golf community and we’re sure his legacy will live on in Turkey for many years to come.”
The Funeral will be held in Istanbul on Sunday January 24, 2016.
