Steven O’Hara and Oliver Fisher remained inseparable at the top of the Czech Open leaderboard as the final round began at Prosper Golf Resort.
Both players encounted little drama in starting with a hattrick of pars to remain ten under par.
Neither player has won before on The European Tour, and both had come into the event with little form.
The 30 year old Scot O’Hara had missed five consecutive cuts before arriving in the Czech Republic, while 22 year old Englishman Fisher missed 20 cuts out of 21 before finishing 35th in Sweden and 45th in Ireland last month.
Fisher’s compatriot Gary Boyd took sole possession of third spot when he birdied the second to move to nine under, with Swede Mikael Lundberg one further back.
Italian Lorenzo Gagli made the day’s most significant move, at four under through 11 he was seven under for the week and into a share of fifth.
Last year’s runner-up Boyd, beaten in a play-off by Peter Hanson as the Swede secured his Ryder Cup spot, rolled in a 20 foot birdie putt at the par five fifth to join the leading pair on ten under.
Fisher produced the first birdie of the day in the last group out at the seventh and followed it up with five footer at the next to race two clear.
Boyd looked in trouble when he drove into rough on the ninth, but he scrambled a nine iron to 15 feet and holed the putt to turn and 33 and move into second on 11 under.
