George O’Grady, European Tour Chief Executive, during his visit to the Barclays Singapore Open accepted the invitation of Barclays President, Bob Diamond, to attend the Barclays Asia Forum 2010 being staged in Singapore on Thursday 11th November.
O’Grady commented: “This was a tremendous opportunity and gave me a fascinating insight into economic developments throughout Asia. The guest speakers and the panel of experts assembled, comprising economists, historians and commentators from so many nations, gave me a truly multi-cultural experience, challenging the issues we all face, and the opportunities presented. The forum gave me great confidence to continue with the strategies The European Tour have and are pursuing in this most exciting region. To attend the final key-note speech of President Clinton, and to be afforded time to have a discussion with him, was not only a valuable honour, but a rare privilege.”
