Noren remains three ahead at The Grove

Alex Noren remained on course to secure his third European Tour victory of the season after making a fast start on the final day of the British Masters supported by Sky Sports.

Play had been suspended early on Sunday due to flooded greens at The Grove but the fourth round got under way shortly after 10.00 local time, with some players starting at the tenth tee.

Noren, who began the day three shots clear at the top of the leaderboard, proved he will be difficult to catch on day four by opening his round with back-to-back gains to get to 18 under par.

The Swede curled in his birdie putt from 12 feet at the opening hole before rolling in from six feet at the long second to pick up another shot.

The 34 year old's long-range birdie putt at the third pulled up just short but he tapped in for a par to remain three ahead.

Noren's nearest challenger Richard Bland also started with two birdies and a par to stay three shots behind the leader, while South African Richard Sterne was another shot back on 14 under.
